Serenade
Serenade was a pastel dinnerware that was produced for only 3-4 yrs ,
from 1939 into the 1940s.
It was offered in yellow, green , pink and blue. It
was not popular at first, but collectors now seem
to be looking for the
pieces more at present.

Debutante Shape
Debutante is one of a family of shapes, made by the Homer Laughlin China Co.,
in the late 1940s to the early 1950s. A solid color glaze with no decoration
is called Jubilee (gray, pink, peach and celadon green (gray-ish

A blue clay with white handles is called Skytone,
while a
brick-brown clay and white
handles is called Suntone. Skytone
was also produced with several abstract flower patterns.
Suntone is said to have been produced with
decoration on the brown body of the piece, but I have never seen any.

Additional Debutante pieces have been seen with various flower or other plant decorations, usually with a white body
and white handles. Backmarks may vary depending on the particular piece, but
the handles always look like they were extruded out of a cake decorating instrument.
